Open your heart and mind then amazing things will happen. I’m so grateful to have met this little family who lives in our neighborhood. They were kind enough to open their home to me so we could take our time making fun memories of baby Lucy. During our photoshoot, we got to know each other better. That is the best part of photography; I really get to know people on a more personal level. I got to see the fun they have together and the love that grandma has for them. She sure knows how to make Lucy smile :)
When photographing Lucy, we of course had to be ready for just about anything so they were completely open to whatever the morning would bring. We adjusted for feedings, nap time and diaper changes. While the parents were also juggling studying for an exam, feeling exhausted from raising little ones and teaching violin lessons, we made it work as easy and comfortable as possible.
It was such an honor being trusted to come into their home to photograph their beautiful growing family. And the best part…grandma made Korean food for lunch and invited me to stay. It was such a kind gesture of gratitude and I knew that it was truly an honor to be asked to stay to share a meal. Of course her food was amazing!
When you’re open to new experiences and new friendships, every day can be delightful.
